Announcing 2010 Infection Prevention Society Annual Research Awards
Members of the Society are invited to apply for research awards in the following categories:
Post Doctoral Award
This Award offers £3,000.00 per annum for two years to support a piece of research focusing on any aspect of infection prevention and control. The applicant must be a member of the Infection Prevention Society for at least 12 months and hold a degree at doctoral level.
Collaborative Small Projects Award
This Award offers a team of up to five researchers £5,000.00 for one year to undertake a piece of research focusing on any aspect of infection prevention and control. The lead applicant must be a member of the Infection Prevention Society for at least 12 months and hold a relevant masters degree and/ or have experience as a member of a research team.
Novice Investigator Award
This Award offers a novice researcher up to £1,000 per annum for three years to support either research at masters/doctoral level or a supervised post-graduate project to focus on any aspect of infection prevention and control. The applicant must be a member of the Infection Prevention Society for at least 12 months, hold a relevant undergraduate or master’s degree and have a clinical academic supervisor for the project.
Closing Date for applications
Applications must be submitted to Fitwise by midday Friday 22 October 2010. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered. Applicants will be notified of the decisions of the Awards Panel in December 2010.
